This medication is used as an adjunctive therapy (treatment given along with the main treatment) for different types of seizures (sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain which may produce changes in your behavior, movements of consciousness) and in certain types of epilepsy (a brain disorder which causes you to have seizures) in patients inadequately controlled by other medications.
